No More BioDiesel

Unfortunately, we're not able to carry the biodiesel anymore. We really wanted to continue, but it's not currently in the stars (or the tank).

See, our neighbor doesn't want us here, even though Junior's has been here 17 years longer than the neighbor. And they seem to have a jihad against the previous owner. So, he called both the city and the fire marshall. While the regulatory agencies fought over who regulated things (saying someone else regulated it), finally the fire marshall said that it was a class-3 flammable liquid. Their requirements meant I would need to put several thousand dollars of investment in (resulting in about 4 years of payback at current volumes, not to mention how that market has changed in the last 18 months) and take out about 1/2 my parking lot. While I pursued some variances to continue bring vegetable oil to your car, the city was less than responsive and often didn't bother to return phone calls. So, I had to take it out. If we can get it figured out, we'll carry it again. Until then, though, for central Austin, please visit EcoWise for your biodiesel needs.

And we still have all those yummy beers and value-oriented wines you've known Junior's for these many years.
